Group Tour – A plunge into Provence.

This 2-day short break hosted by Yevents promises an enchanting delve into the unique landscapes, culture, traditions and unforgettable gastronomy of Provence. The tour can be entirely tailored to your wishes and the size of your group.

The programme includes many visits to local artisans, where you will learn all about Provence’s ancient craft know-how. We also invite you to discover the delicious flavours of Provence at the various tasting sessions and meals. A gourmet and perfectly Provencal tour!

This short break can be adapted to take into account certain disabilities.

Day 1

Stage 1 – From sky to stone, Les Baux-de-Provence

On arrival, you will be invited to head out for a day in Provence. First stop at Les Baux-de-Provence. A genuine eagle’s nest in the heart of the stunning Alpilles area, Les Baux-de-Provence is a must-do during your stay in Provence and offers a lively Provencal atmosphere throughout the year. Your guide will invite you to visit the medieval castle and its 17-acre grounds, filled with fascinating ancient remains and offering breathtaking panoramic views over the valley.

 

Stage 2 – Exceptional Provencal flavours

Next, we invite you to enjoy a gourmet lunch at the restaurant La Cabro d’Or, where Chef Michel Hulin will pamper you with his refined, heartfelt cuisine in an idyllic setting. This passionate chef buys his produce from local producers and is committed to respecting Provence’s unique palette of flavours.

Stage 3 – Meeting the local artisans

After lunch, you will set off to visit a traditional Provencal knifemaking workshop(max 8 people at once), where you will enjoy an olive woodturning demonstration and introduction to this captivating ancient trade. You will then meet Alba, a glassblowerwith an impressive 40 years’ experience.You will love learning about his time-honoured skills. Lastly, you will head to Saint-Rémy-de-Provence to taste some typical Provencalsweet delicacies at the Confiserie Lilamand.

Stage 4 – Exceptional wines & olive oil at Château Virant

Your excursion ends with a plunge into Provence’s countryside at Château Virant, a vineyard and olive oil producer. You will enjoy a guided tour of the domain, offering a fascinating immersion in the history of the Château, from its origins to current day. The visit ends with a must-do tasting session featuring wine and olive oil produced on site.

 

Stage 5 – Celebration of Provence's legendary lifestyle

Check-in at the Hôtel Garrigae Auberge de Sainte Croixand 3-course gourmet dinner at the hotel restaurant, where you will be able to savour the chef’s generous, fresh and gourmet Provencal cuisine spiked with original touches.

This ancient 12th-century abbey, set in 50 acres of pine woods and garrigue, offers extraordinary panoramic views over the plain of Salon-de-Provence. It is theperfect venue for recharging your batteries and celebrating Provence’s legendary lifestyle.

Day 2

Stage 1 - Having fun with gastronomy

After breakfast, we invite you to enjoy a fun introduction to Provencal gastronomy.

The finest Chefs welcome you for a cookery class at a beautiful villa to the South of Aix-en-Provence, where you will prepare and sample a gastronomic menu.

The group will learn all about various preparation techniques, the secrets of wine and food pairing and the aromatic delights of olive oil.
