Six Aix-en-Provence families each host four dancer-choreographers in turn, preparing the stage and offering dishes typical of their culture, roots, and origins. These families are the organisers of the event, and invite friends. The artists improvise according to the inspiration provided by the place or what they carry inside them. It is a chance to eat and discuss art and contemporary dance.
At the same time, four dancers will develop a choreographic piece to be presented on the Bois de l'Aune plateau at the start of the season, and the Agora Bistrot.
The artist is positioned at the heart of the project, to increase opportunities for meeting and sharing. The creators are no longer intimidating characters. They are our neighbours. Not only do they share the same territory, but also the same concerns and the same interests as we do. They offer another point of view, the chance to see things in a different light, another vision, but the change of scenery, the displacement, comes from a familiar place that concerns us all.
